Canada Post strike? lockout? What to do?!

I don’t know if you’ve been following the Canada Post news but I’ve been watching it anxiously.

Canada Post is in negotiations with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and, if things are not settled in the next few days, a labour disruption - strike or lockout - could happen as soon as Saturday July 2nd. Here’s the latest news update from Canada Post.

What do I think will happen? I really don't know. Thinking about it is making my stomach churn like bad truckstop coffee that's been sitting on the burner for 8 hours.

So... I’m crossing my fingers and toes and hoping that they settle without a strike or lockout. And hope that the mail is operating normally on Saturday, Sunday and all through July.

And... we're setting something up with a courier company. It's good to have options. And we want to make sure that there isn’t a serious coffee disruption, even if there is a mail disruption.

I’ll keep you posted here on the Sparkplug Scoop on what we’re doing to keep the coffee shipping, with or without Canada Post.
