A limited edition, dark roast custom blend - late winter 2020
We met Mr. Holey Brewed (Mr. HB for short) and immediately hit it off. How can you not love a guy who is all about coffee and doughnuts?! We started talking about how we could collaborate and next thing you know, Sparkplug is Holey Brewed’s Official Coffee By Mail and together we’ve created a custom Holey Brewed coffee blend: Holey Smoke.
Holey Smoke
Holey Smoke is a smokey and spicy darker roast blend of SE Asian coffees with a very special South American Bourbon aged Purple Caturra.
Although Bourbon is in the name, in this case it is the variety of coffee bean. We think the taste is reminiscent of a great bourbon, too. This is something to sip by the fireside - warming and delicious and very special.

You may be asking yourself, what the heck is a coffee and doughnut community platform?
Good question!
The Holey Brewed community platform is being developed to be the one-stop-spot for everything coffee and doughnuts. Simply put, Holey Brewed is a content platform. It is the idea of bringing together the full coffee and doughnut community.
At Holey Brewed, you’ll find cafe reviews, doughnut reviews, product reviews (Does It Taste Like Coffee?), blog posts, great photos (check out the Instagram feed) and plans to add a podcast and a forum later in 2020.
RECOMMENDED BREWING METHODS:
You can use any coffee maker for delicious results. However, we think a dark roast coffee like HOLEY SMOKE, is particularly well-suited to espresso makers and French press.
2021 Update:
Mr HB transitioned Holey Brewed (a Coffee & Doughnut Community Platform - you know “platforms” are soooo 2019) to a new Coffee Marketplace at www.mycoffeemarketplace.com And, yes, of course Sparkplug is part of it!
